The Protestant Mind is a twice-monthly newsletter written by Dale M. Coulter and supported by First Things and the John Templeton Foundation.
Coulter is an ordained minister in the Church of God (Cleveland, TN) and professor of historical theology at Pentecostal Theological Seminary, where he holds the Robert E. Fisher Chair of Spiritual Renewal. In addition to six books, the most recent of which is The Holy Spirit and Higher Education (Baylor Press, 2023), he has published popular articles for outlets such as the Washington Post and Christianity Today. He received his doctorate from the University of Oxford on medieval history and theology. He is member of the Pentecostal team for the International Pentecostal-Catholic dialogue, Evangelicals and Catholics Together, and is also involved in ecumenical discussions between Orthodox and Pentecostals.
Even though he has moved around, he remains a Floridian at heart. He has been happily married to Esther for over thirty years, and together they share three adult children: Bella, Sophia, and Christian.
Thank you for joining the Protestant Mind!
